AI, maps and accuracy

How Nestround works

An AI-first travel app with real map data underneath. Here’s what AI does, where the information comes from, and where it can be wrong.

AI does the busywork

Day-plan suggestions, reading tickets and sorting places by what’s close.

Maps come from Apple

Places, addresses, directions and walking times come from Apple Maps. You can open any route in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

You stay in charge

AI can be wrong. Nestround marks what to check and always lets you edit, undo or ignore a suggestion.

AI in Nestround

What AI does in the app

Nestround is AI-first. AI saves you time in a new city, but it isn’t always right, so the app tells you when something comes from AI.

Day-plan suggestions

AI service provider

Suggests how to fill a day from the places you saved, opening hours and walking times. Suggestions are a starting point. You can move, lock or remove any stop.

Translations

Apple Translation · on your iPhone

Phrases are translated on your iPhone. Translations can miss meaning or tone. Nestround always shows the original next to the translation.

Reading tickets

On your iPhone

Booking confirmations, boarding passes and tickets are read on the phone. Nothing is uploaded. Details the app is unsure about are marked “Check”.

Sorting places

On your iPhone

Places are grouped into the 8 map categories and sorted by walking time from your stay or from where you are.

Data sources

Where the information comes from

Each kind of information comes from a named source. When a source has nothing, Nestround hides that detail instead of guessing.

Places and addresses

Apple Maps

Names, categories, addresses and search suggestions.

Directions and walking times

Apple Maps

Walking, driving and cycling routes are drawn in the app. Transit opens in Apple Maps. Times are estimates.

Open in another app

Apple Maps or Google Maps

Any place or route can be opened in Apple Maps, or in Google Maps if it’s installed.

Weather

Apple Weather

The forecast for your stay. Data sources

Emergency numbers and embassies

Nestround’s own list

Checked by our team for every country. Numbers can still change, so confirm them locally when you arrive.

Before you rely on it

What to double-check

A few things can change faster than any app can follow. Check these yourself, especially when it matters.

  • Opening hoursPlaces close for holidays, renovation or for good. Call ahead before a long walk.
  • TranslationsFor medicines, allergies, addresses and anything legal, show the original text to a local person.
  • Walking timesEstimates don’t know about stairs, closed paths, crowds or the weather.
  • Details read from ticketsCompare times, dates, seats and gates with the original ticket. Look for fields marked “Check”.
  • Day plansSuggestions don’t know about queues, sold-out tickets or how tired you are.
  • Emergency numbersConfirm the number when you arrive. If a call doesn’t connect, ask local people or officials for help.
